The beginning of Carl's Sonic Mania Diorama, depicting the Studiopolis World!  An idea that completely happened by chance.  I was down at the Goodwill when I saw two old fish tanks for $10 each.  One of them I'm using for a Christmas Diorama.  But the other one gets this cool life! Color pictures printed from the web Beginning of base with yellow and blue Legos "Kragled" into place 😀 Decorations from a Lego Friends set and pearly pebbles hot-glued into place as well ...and more to come!

Day 42 - Beck Diet Solution, Practice, Practice, Practice

Some people say that “practice makes perfect.”   That may be true with some things, like practicing a musical piece until it can be played perfectly.   But in weight loss we’re not aiming for perfection, because everybody slips up sometimes and that’s normal and human.   Maybe the better saying for BDS is “practice makes automatic.”   That’s what we’re really aiming for – to think like thin people, and to do it automatically. In the Army once, when we were in the middle of a 12-mile road march, everybody was starving and we were standing in the pouring rain, one of the drill sergeants encouraged us “This can only last so long.”   True with everything, isn’t it?   You’ll hit rough patches in your weight loss journey, where you’ll question all your accomplishments and whether it’s worth it to continue.   Suck it up and drive on.   Everything is temporary and this transient wave of difficulty will soon wash away. Day 41 - Beck Diet Solution, Make A New To-Do List

Do these activities daily: ·        Eat a healthy diet and restrict your calories. ·        Eat slowly and mindfully. ·        Sit down to eat. ·        Eat only to mild fullness. ·        Monitor your eating throughout the day. ·        Give yourself credit. ·        Do spontaneous exercise. ·        Respond to sabotaging thoughts. Do these activities between once a day and once a week: ·        Weigh yourself at least once a week (daily if you’d like). ·        Meet or talk with your diet coach weekly. ·        Do planned exercise at least three times weekly. ·        Make sure you create time and energy for weight loss. ·        Read your Advantages Response Card as needed. ·        Use anti-craving techniques. ·        Use the Seven Question Technique to solve problems or negative emotions. ·        Mentally prepare for special occasion meals like dining out, vacations, office events, etc. ·        Brainstorm on ways you can reduce stress.

Day 40 - Beck Diet Solution, Enrich Your Life

What aren’t you doing? Let’s get real here for a second.   What aren’t you doing that you think you’re too fat to do, but would run out and do in a heartbeat if you had that “dream” body?   Would you go to the beach?   Look for a new job?   Go to that club?   If you’re single, talk to that cute girl or guy? Well my friend, what are you waiting for?   We all know life is short and we aren’t promised tomorrow.   We see somber reminders of that all too often. Whatever you just listed above, go out and do it.   NOW. Ok, it doesn’t have to be this second.   But take steps now towards whatever you’ve been longing to do, whatever you said you’d do when you “finally” lost all the weight you want to lose.   Did you want to go on a vacation, go on a cruise, go skydiving if you’re really brave?   Do you have the money and time?   If so, go on and book that bad boy. For us here in Florida, it’s perpetual summer.   It’s Miller Time (or your favorite skinny drink!)   Own
